HOW TO JOIN IN WITH MURIEL’S DAY

First go to  https://app.investmycommunity.com/fundraise/st-mary-magdalen-church-3220 and click on “Start Fundraising” to the right.

If you are raising funds as an individual, click on “Raise Funds for us” then follow the instructions page by page or go by this checklist:

  1. Just below the orange donation button you can see the blue ‘Support This Organisation’ box.
  2. Tap the orange box ‘Start Fundraising’ within the blue Support This Organisation box.
  3. Tap for ‘Raise Funds for Us!’ with the piggy bank logo.
  4. Enter your email address (or parents’ email), name, home address details. (completely confidential and adhering to GDPR policies). Tick T&C’s, create a password and tick the ‘I’m not a Robot box.’
  5. At this stage you are an InvestMyCommunity Registered User, ready to create your own ‘mini-campaign’.
  6.   a) Campaign Name: Be creative.
  7.   b) Open Date – when you want to start collecting sponsorship. We suggest ‘today’s date’.
  8.   c) Target Amount – a realistic target for your own sponsorship aim. This can be overrun and become a Target Breaker.
  9.   d) Close Date: we suggest the end of September for this 2022 Muriel’s Day event.
  10. e) A few lines of text about why you are participating. If you are raising funds for a charity of your choice, we would appreciate it if you open your description with “Inspired by the remarkable Muriel Hunt – see murielsday.com“.
  11.   f) Tick T&C’s as a Fundraiser.
  12.   g) Add image/s – this can be done later or during the event.
  13.   h) Add a YouTube video link – many of you will not have access to a YouTube account, but you can send videos to InvestMyCommunity who will host for them, creating a YouTube url which can be inserted into your own mini campaign.
  14.   i) To Preview your page – Choose the red ‘My Account’ button at top of screen. From the Menu, select ‘My Campaigns’. Drag the campaign details to the right and an orange ‘View Project Page’ will show. When happy with text and images click back to see the previous window of “Ready to submit?” Then press Submit button. This will activate the donation button and the campaign will be live. An email will be sent to you confirming this.

Note that you can opt in or out of our Leaderboards – whichever you prefer.

Having completed your application with InvestMyCommunity, if you are collecting funds for a charity of your choice, or for just for Mary Mags, you MUST then click here to register yourself and the charity for whom you are raising funds with us, so we can pay them. We shall double check the payment route which they prefer, copy that to you, in due course pay them and then forward a copy of their receipt by email to you.


If you are a team or a charity
much of the above again applies. Click on “Got a Team” and follow the instructions page by page. That completed, you MUST then click here to fill in your details. We shall need a nominated Team Captain with whom we shall double check the payment route. Once our payment has triggered a receipt, we shall copy that to the Team Captain to relay to the team. All Health and Safety and other info will be passed to the TC to be relayed to the individuals taking part. We shall try to allocate each team a set of consecutive time slots if possible.

Your submission of these forms will be acknowledged within 24 hours.
